Skills for Life
- Our mission statement supports learning and widening opportunity by recognising achievement through credit based courses and qualifications
- NOCN has a range of qualifications in the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), including the Qualifications for Progression
- We are involved in the test and trials for the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)
- NOCN Skills for Life units and qualifications can be delivered alongside other qualifications to combine the development of literacy, language, ICT and numeracy
- Skills acquired by learners gives them confidence, motivation and competence for them to progress, gain qualifications and to have it nationally recognised
- NOCN qualifications consist of units of assessment, each with an assigned level and credit value
- Learners are able to achieve at their own pace and build towards full qualifications
- Priority learners identified through government policy are supported in their own learning
